Well this is a really strange newsletter to be writing in really challenging times. We ended the day having Key Stage assemblies with singing and really praising the children for how amazing they have been over the last couple of weeks in particular. We’ve reminded them about social distancing and handwashing. We have also spoken about that this being part of history. We’ve had staffing changes in some classes, I have been mainly office based and the phone has been constant, but in amongst all of that staff and children have just got on with it.
We’ve spoken today about the importance of continuing with the work which has been sent out and regular updates will be posted on the website. Although school is closed, staff are still working and we will remain in contact with you all regularly.
Let’s hope that we will all be back together sooner rather than later.
School has now closed for the majority and is only open to provide provision for the children of key workers who have no other childcare. As we will have limited staffing in school and in order to follow government advice of social distancing, there is a limited number of places for this provision. Can I please ask that if you are requesting a place for the provision, that it is for a genuine need as you may be taking the place of someone whose work is critical to the covid 19 response. Anyone who has requested a place will receive further email confirmation later this evening.
Thank you for your support in this.
I will update you regularly during the school closure.
I’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your support and we all wish you well, hopefully we will all be back together as a whole school community soon.
