Dear Parent(s) and Carers,
As you are aware from 3:15pm today the school will close indefinitely. The most recent scientific advice on how to further limit the spread of Covid 19 is clear, if children can stay safely at home and socially distance from others they should to limit the chance of the virus spreading. That is why the government has asked parents to keep their children at home wherever possible and asked schools to remain open only for a limited number of children who absolutely need to attend.
Therefore in response to this, school will open during school hours only 8.45am – 3.15pm from Monday to provide care for those children of parents who are key workers and do not have an alternative arrangement. Again, every child who can be safely cared for at home, should be.
We will undoubtedly be working on a skeletal staffing due to self-isolation, therefore the provision provided could be of a mixed age range.
We are being asked to provide education provision for the children of some key workers:
Do you or another carer in your household work in the following? (Further details for each are on our website)
Please understand that we may ask you to provide evidence of employment where we do not hold records in schools. Again, this is to limit the number of children to ensure we follow government advice on social distancing.
If the answer is ‘yes’ will you require provision?
If the answer is still ‘yes’ please email me firstname.lastname@example.org stating:
Please respond as soon as possible, in order that I can make arrangements.
